The sole mandate of KUCHENA is to provide a cleaner fuel as an alternative at a reasonable cost, while targeting industries that consume a significant amount of fuel namely; construction, transportation, mining, agriculture etc.
KUCHENA is a 100% black owned company which was established in 2019. The idea behind the establishment of the company was about identifying biodiesel as one of the elements that can be used to mitigate the emissions produced by large machines and heavy duty vehicles. Khangelani is the Director and founder of KUCHENA Biofuels, he has more than 8 years worth of experience in the private sector. He specialized in customer service, relationship building, corporate account management to name a few. With years of experience in the corporate sector, he mastered the skill of tailoring client needs, offer solutions to each clients’ challenges or problems and has mastered the art of communicating effectively. Khangelani is very passionate about keeping the environment clean, while saving costs for his clients.

Biodiesel is made from diverse mix of resources such as recycled used cooking oil, animal fats and/or oil extracted from soybean. Biodiesel is a renewable, clean-burning replacement that can be used in existing diesel engines without modification. It is functionally identical to petroleum diesel however the emissions are much less than regular diesel. All light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles are capable of running on Biodielsel, as it is lighter and cleaner alternative. Concerns of clogging car filters, nozzles and reduced or lost engine power are none existent. KUCHENA’s processing and production equipment complies with the RSA biodiesel standard SANS 1935, as well as other convention international standard like ASTM D6751 and EN 14214.
Mining is heavy on fuel consumption due to their big machineries and therefore biodiesel will be an alternative that offers cleaner fuel at reasonable cost.
South Africa has experienced massive climate change which has hit the agricultural sector very hard, as they had to deal with drought and still maintain the farms. Biodiesel will assist reduce the impact, immediate impact being on the cost of the fuel currently used.
South Africa is constantly growing and expanding its infrastructure and citizens are always on the move in numbers to either their work places or just travelling long distances. Biodiesel will save these industries a significant amount while keeping the environment cleaner.
